Yocan’s latest offering is yet to hit the shelves and is yet to have a definitive date but by the looks of it it seems that it’s another device pegged to take away the market in another sweep. Yocan has been known as a manufacturer whose products like wax pens are both affordable and of good quality. While it’s true that you always get what you pay for especially in vaping, Yocan proved that no one no longer has to pay the premium price in order to get a premium device. To use the word practical is an understatement, the proposed value set on this new product as we’ve heard is more than reasonable. We're talking about the Yocan Trio Vaporizer, following the likes of the Evolve 2.0, we couldn’t help but notice that this new and upcoming device from Yocan is a smaller version of the successful Evolve 2.0. Nevertheless, we’ll give you a sneak peek at Yocan’s newest 3-in-1 pod vaporizer with the size that’s set to blow your mind.
A Worthy Successor
Yocan has already released a data sheet for the Yocan Trio Vaporizer and by the looks of it, it seems like it’s going to be a downsized version of the Yocan Evolve 2.0 Vaporizer. That said, based on our experience, vaporizers at this stage are generally under what most manufacturers call the pre-production phase. It’s sort of like a beta version where most of the time, they send initial iterations to reviewers and partners and make certain adjustments to fine tune the product based on how their partners react to the initial version. However, knowing Yocan, they might have to stand with this initial data sheet although all these are just our speculations and that they might still change depending on the manufacturer’s decision come release date.
Still, a smaller size makes a huge difference for vaporizers this day and age, that’s why although it may seem to be a mirrored image of their last offering, the Yocan Trio Vaporizer still puts forward a great deal especially for consumers who are always on-the-go. Having to put the same technology used in the Yocan Evolve 2.0 Vaporizer in a smaller packaging still makes the Yocan Trio Vaporizer a threat (and a serious one that is) and yet another force to be reckoned with on the mini vape or pod-based vaporizer market.
Down with the Details
If you’ve been following Yocan, like us for a while now, you’d know that the Yocan Evolve 2.0 Vaporizer is arguably one of Yocan’s most successful launches ever. While each of their products have found a certain niche, the Yocan Evolve 2.0 sold nearly as fast as it was delivered on any bricks-and-mortar or virtual online shop for that matter, and why not? It combined the elements of two of today’s top-rated platforms – the vape pen and the pod-based vaporizer category so it immediately gained a number of followers wanting to get their hands on it – and we’re pretty sure the same goes with the Yocan Trio.
Based on the data sheet they've put out, the Yocan Trio will have three refillable pods; one for concentrates, another for thicker oils, and another for runnier e-liquids. The concentrate pods will mimic the iconic quartz dual coil (QDC) design, a staple on Yocan concentrate vaporizers, but will feature a smaller build. Both the e-liquid and the thick oil pods will use a ceramic heating element and will be differentiated by a colored rubber seal; a green rubber seal for the oil pod and a white rubber seal for the e-liquid pod. It’s also engineered to be a leak-proof pod with a sealed bottom with an integrated advanced airflow design. That said we expect the pods to have a balanced airflow that’s not too tight and not at all lose.
Moving down to the battery, the Yocan Trio Vaporizer is outfitted with an integrated rechargeable battery with a 500mAh capacity. Having said, frequent users and heavy consumers will certainly find 500mAh of battery a little less that what they need. Luckily, the Yocan Trio Vaporizer also features micro USB charging which allows you to recharge the Yocan Trio Vaporizer on-the-go. Like most portable vaporizers, we’d imagine charging it on your laptop, on your desktop computer, or a power bank you have inside your tech bag. The fact that the battery is only at 500mAh capacity means that it’s going to be charged up pretty fast making it the perfect tool for extract consumption on-the-go. And, while we're on the subject of batteries, it’s good to know that the Yocan Trio Vaporizer features a 10-second pre-heat function that allows it to run a 10-second cycle. The 10-second pre-heat function is best used when vaping concentrates for the full experience. The Yocan Trio Vaporizer battery is also outfitted with three different heat profiles that allow you to shift the focus of the Yocan Trio Vaporizer depending on what type of material is being vaporized. It's a standard low, medium, and high profile but the slightest difference in temperature can make a huge impact on your experience especially when vaping extracts.
The Wrap Up
The Yocan Trio Vaporizer has some good technology going on for it. It has the basic functionalities of a vape pen making it flexible and adaptable to certain situations and different material types but it still retains the elements of a pod vaporizer which further simplifies the process of having three heating elements for vaping three different kinds of extracts. All the technology behind the Yocan Trio Vaporizer wrapped around and housed in a small and compact body. The Yocan Trio Vaporizer only measures at 3.2 inches tall, without the pods connected, it’d be much shorter making it easily concealable and likewise portable. It’s remarkable to see how much functionality a small device such as the Yocan Trio Vaporizer can hold, you can only imagine the possibilities of using a vaporizer this flexible of this stature.
We’re excited to see the Yocan Trio Vaporizer in action, and if you’re like us, we simply can’t contain how excited we are to get our hands on this small but terrible (in a good way that is) unit.
