2. Don’t vape horizontally

Again, as tempting as it may be to vape horizontally, the concentrates might leak and spill should they melt. How to Use

The KandyPens Special K works similarly like most oil pen vaporizers. Its components consist of a battery, a heating element, a chamber for the material, and a mouthpiece. You simply have to pop open the cartridge, fill it up with oil concentrate, screw it back in and vape away. Here’s a step by step guide on how I did it.

1. Take off the cap of the Special K which exposes the mouthpiece and the oil cartridge.
2. Unscrew the cartridge to get to the oil reservoir.
3. Fill it with your favorite oil concentrate.
4. Replace the cartridge.
5. Let the material sit on the oil cartridge for a few minutes to prime the oil cartridge.
6. Tap the power button five times to power the battery on.
7. Tap it again three times to select the temperature setting.
8. Enjoy…!

I find the KandyPens Special K vaporizer easy to operate. Though I’m not in any way an expert in oil vaporizers, I’m familiar with using these pens since I’ve handled several vaporizers for wax and dry herbs over the years. The Special K operates basically the same way your normal pen style vaporizer would work, it never required me to learn anything new in order to vape it. There’s no learning curve or getting used to. I appreciate that from the Special K and I’m sure many vape enthusiasts would feel the same way too.

The Experience

The three preset temperature settings were extremely helpful especially when I switched from oils of different consistency. I was able to get the optimum temperature level for every oil variant and every temperature setting was met with different levels of satisfaction.

The lower temperature settings gave out subtle and smoother vapors while the higher levels produced somewhat more visible clouds, though going on a higher temperature setting reduced the flavor of the vapors. I felt that low temperature vaping is what the Special K was made for, the thin wisps of clouds made for better taste and flavor without blowing up your cover. If you’re a covert vapor who value being discreet then vaping with the Special K is the way to go.

Final Thoughts

The KandyPens Special K Vaporizer allowed me to take quick hits without much of a fuss. Another feature I loved about the Special K is its peek hole which allowed me to tell how much material I had in the chamber. An extra oil cartridge made for better reloading since I literally had no need of stripping of my Special K and refilling the glass cartridge in public.
